ARIS Limassol was founded in 1930, making it one of the oldest football clubs in the Cyprus. The club’s greatest achievement was to qualify for the Cyprus Cup final in 1989, but at the time victory slipped away. The following season, the team signed the legend himself, Ukrainian Oleh Blokhin, the 1975 European Footballer of the Year, who helped them secure fourth place for the second time in their history. After that, the only real success was seen by the team’s performance in the second division – they won this championship 5 times (1954, 1956, 1994, 2011, 2013). Nevertheless, the club retained its legendary fighting spirit and bravery. A good example of such a spirit is Lachish Papadopoulos – he is the top scorer in the history of Aris Limassol and a true legend. The only thing Aris lacked was a good sponsor.

CoinsPaid was able to see the club’s hidden potential, even through the shadows of the volatile performance of the past – which is exactly why CoinsPaid decided to back ARIS two years ago. Apart from the increase in the number of players and the new global life, ARIS got a new coaching staff and an improved infrastructure. This is the true transformational power of the world’s leading cryptocurrency payments provider.

ARIS and CoinsPaid have already begun to reap the rewards of their partnership.

ARIS were promoted to the Cypriot First Division last year after a successful game against Akritas Chlorakas. And that was only the beginning, because for now, the club is 2nd in the Cyprus Championship, with only one point separating them from first place!

ARIS management has no intention of slowing down; in fact, they intend to work even harder in 2022, improve the level of competition and make steady progress towards their goals. They also expect the number of spectators in the stands to increase next season and they are ready to offer fans the opportunity to see spectacular football at the new Limassol Arena.

With that in mind, it’s only a matter of time when we’ll see ARIS play in European tournaments. The importance of such a partnership between ARIS and CoinsPaid is therefore difficult to overestimate.

Even though investment plays a big role in football, we wouldn’t love this game so much if it wasn’t for players. And that’s exactly what the CoinsPaid Aris Player Of The Month prize is all about – celebrating gamers and their fans!

Each month, at its discretion, CoinsPaid selects three to four nominees, and fans have the opportunity to choose the best football player by voting on the arisfc.com site and social networks. A commemorative top player figurine will be awarded as a special CoinsPaid prize. So don’t forget to support your favorite player!

There are also rumors of an NFT collection of the club’s best players being released. We bet they are planning something like this in case we see ARIS play in the European Championship – it would definitely be a moment to remember.

ARIS is really happy with the results of the partnership with Coinspaid, and they expect to see big results from it in the near future, and we agree with them on that.

Sponsorship offer:

Due to its very successful partnership with ARIS Limassolis, CoinsPaid wants to replicate this winning relationship in Estonia. This is why we are currently in the process of identifying sports clubs Estonia who would be interested in working with us on sponsorship projects.

If you are a sports club or association and you have a partnership project in mind that we might be interested in, please contact us with some information on who you represent and what you have in mind; our email is [email protected]

Finally, we are about to make several investments in local credit unions. Credit unions are, in our view, an interesting response by citizens to the predatory practices of traditional banking institutions.

The Baltic Home of Crypto by CoinsPaid:

New CoinsPaid office will be located in the Porto Franco development next to Admiralty Basin. This development designed by world-renowned architectural firm Chapman Taylor will shift the center of Tallinn closer to the sea making Tallinn a seaside town in its own right.

We rented 750 m². office space on the top floor of the northernmost building and we have entered into a partnership with OCCO to take over the design of what will be our flagship office housing our global headquarters. We should move in there by the second half of the summer.

We have also decided to launch the “Baltic House of Crypto by CoinsPaid” initiative. Under this flag, CoinsPaid wants to promote blockchain technologies and engage with the Baltic crypto community. Meetups, conferences, hackathons will be regularly organized and hosted on our Porto Franco site. Weather permitting, some of these activities will take place on our rooftop where the stunning views of the Tallinn bay and gulf of Finland should inspire all participants.

Even if CoinsPaid is an industry leader, that doesn’t mean we’re resting on our laurels. This is why we will run an incubator in Tallinn to help local entrepreneurs move from idea to product. This activity will of course focus on blockchain-related projects. More details on our incubation plans will be communicated later.
