Evans kangwa played full 90 minutes while Kings kangwa were a second-half substitute as Arsenal Tula edged out 1-2 visiting Russian Powerhouse, Spartak Moscow in a massive game for both clubs for different reasons.

With Zenit officially crowned champions yesterday after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 6-1, Spartak had a chance to take second place from their neighbors, the last spot securing Champions League football for next season.

While a win for Tula would rekindle their slight hope of trying to stay ahead of the Russian Premier League without having to make the relegation qualifiers.

A loss, on the other hand, would put them in danger of being directly relegated.

Evans kangwa started this match on the left side of a forward three while his younger brother kings had to be content with a place on the bench.

From the start, it was Tula who threatened Lutsenko to install Djordjevic in the 5e minute but his head was stuck. Spartak responded with Umyarov’s deflected shot hitting the crossbar on the 11th.e minute.

But the deadlock was finally broken on the 20the minute Nigerian and Chelsea player on loan, Victor Moses cleverly beat his man on the right to place Sobolev who led Spartak in the lead.

Tula responded positively 5 minutes later when Evans kangwa almost created an opportunity out of thin air.

After a clearance from Tula of their own half, the former Nkana man expertly passed the aerial ball past two Spartak defenders, but hurried goalkeeper Selikhov swept before he could get there.

Fortunately for Tula the next attack and the last play of the first half which Evans kangwa was involved in leading to a goal.

the Zambian number 10deftly rolled back an aerial bullet into the path of Djordjevic, whose center was involuntarily deflected by Spartak’s center-back, Ilya Kutepov.

Arsenal Tula celebrates equalizer

An equally contested first half ended with the game before the break.

The second half started out tight with Victor Moses in wide shot form just ten minutes after the restart.

Kings kangwa came with 18 minutes of normal time. He was brought in to add solidity to Tula’s midfield.

There wasn’t much action until 76e minute eventual man of the match Victor Moses helped again from the right flank when he squared the ball to Jordan Larsson.

Jordan Larsson finished quietly at the goalkeeper near post.

The Swede showed good predatory instincts recalling his father Henrik Larsson to shoot the Krasniy-bely (Red and White) as the Spartak Moscow is known before him.

With few clear chances, the last real chance of the game went to Tula when substitute Valeri Gromyko’s header on the right side of the six-meter penalty area was aimed wide at a cross from Igor Gorbatenko.

Following today’s result, Tula is only two points above 14e placed Rotor Volgograd and 15e placed Ufa in a three-way fight against direct relegation.

Tambov in 16e are already relegated after losing to Rostov yesterday.

Then Arsenal Tula welcomes Rubin Kazan on 8e May.
