Media Group Ukraine updates its OTT platform

Media Group Ukraine (MGU) has effectively relaunched its OTT service Oll.TV as a new platform.

Commenting on the development Vitaly Chirkov, Director of Content and User Experience of Oll.TV, said: “The purpose of updating the service is to make Oll.TV convenient for our users, modern, beautiful and competitive with the best OTT platforms in the world.

“The advantage of the new platform is that now the interfaces and user experience on all platforms are completely symmetrical. If before Oll.TV on television, on the site and in a mobile phone, there were three different applications with different appearance, different behavioral logic, different locations of content, modes of description, it is now the only system. And a person, moving from one device to another, is not lost, because it is the same job. And behind the beautiful and user-friendly interfaces there is a lot of technical capacity, because along with the redesign, we have strengthened the service infrastructure.

MGU notes that the platform has a lot of cool and practical features and new sections. These include a My section where, on any device, the user can save selected movies, series, shows and channels and watch them whenever and wherever they want.

Mykola Koretsky, Director of the Development Department, added: “We want to create a whole new experience for users.

“We want the new app to change the attitude towards the OLL.TV brand itself. We want to give the service mega-reliability. We have almost completely redesigned the user interface and UIX of our applications, as well as modified our backend, fixed bugs in the infrastructure – now all programs and services are stable and practical ”.

The picture quality on sports channels and broadcasts has also improved considerably. In addition, the focus is more on content, not just football.

Chirkov continued: “Yes, this is a radical change. We have significantly changed our content policy, received exclusively the world’s best series from Amediateka, we cooperate closely with ivi – their library within our packages. We’ve launched our own production of great content – in December our first original series “Harassment” will be released with Ksenia Mishina in the lead role. We have also signed contracts with the best TV channels in the market – cinema, educational, entertainment and sports TV channels – and integrated them into the most popular bouquets so that not only football or not just football becomes one. argument to subscribe to Oll.TV. In fact, today we have the best offer on the market in terms of price and content, and certainly the best standard offer in Ukraine ”.
