Italian football coach Vanoli heads Russia’s Spartak Moscow FC, agent says – sport
MOSCOW, December 16. / TASS /. Italian coach Paolo Vanoli on Thursday signed a contract to become the head coach of Russian Premier League (RPL) club Spartak Moscow, his agent Andrea D’Amico told TASS.
Andrea D’Amico said in his statement that full details of a possibly signed contract will be announced at a press conference in Moscow on Friday.
Spartak FC’s press service announced on December 14 that the club had parted ways with Rui Vitoria, the Portuguese head coach of the Russian football club.
On May 24, the Spartak Moscow FC press service announced that the club had signed a contract with Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria, 51, for two years.
Spartak Moscow FC are currently ranked 9th after 18 match days of the current 2021/2022 season of the Russian Premier League (RPL) having scored 23 points.
Former head coach of Russian football club Domenico Tedesco announced his decision in December 2020 to leave the Russian club before the end of the 2020/2021 national football season.
In September 2019, Tedesco was named the best coach of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The Italian-German football coach received a unanimous vote in favor on behalf of representatives of the RPL, sports experts from the Russian TV channel Match-TV and domestic football fans.
