EURO 2022/23 WU19 1st round draw completed | Women under 19
The draw for the first round of the 2022/23 UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship, conducted on Tuesday 31 May, determined the groups for the two leagues for the autumn mini-tournaments.
League A consists of 28 teams, including the eight promoted from League B after the 2021/22 second round in the spring. The teams were divided into seven groups; from these single-venue mini-tournaments, teams finishing fourth will be relegated to League B for the 2022/23 second round, with the other positions deciding League A standings in that round. Belgium will participate, although their place in the final is assured as hosts.
League B teams (including teams relegated from League A in the 2021/22 second round, as well as the first Gibraltar team to enter a UEFA women’s national team football competition) will compete for promotion to League A in seven groups. Group winners will be promoted.
The seven teams that will join Belgium in the 2023 final will be decided by round 2 of League A.
