England moved up to third place in the world rankings after the last international round.

After their run to the Euro 2020 final, England returned to action in World Cup qualifying – and Gareth Southgate’s side claimed 4-0 victories over Hungary and Andorra before a 1-1 draw against Poland.

The seven points were enough to lift England to third place in the FIFA rankings, which is their highest position.

Belgium retained its place at the top of the table, with Brazil in second place.

Wales are steadfast in 19th place after a victory over Belarus and draw with Finland and Estonia.

Scotland moved up four places to 45th thanks to victories over Moldova and Austria, while the North climbed by the same margin to 47th thanks to victories over Lithuania and Estonia.

The Republic of Ireland fell from 47th to 50th after losing to Portugal to draw with Azerbaijan and Serbia.
