Deaf football game grows in chaos as dogs and horses take over the pitch

Football is no stranger to an animal invasion of the field.

Remember the squirrel that ran onto the pitch in Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final with Villarreal in 2006? Or the black cat who briefly stopped playing when Everton welcomed Wolves to the Premier League two years ago?

Cats and squirrels are both relatively mundane intruders, but a deaf football game in Ukraine descended into chaos when two dogs and a horse, yes you read that right, made their way onto the pitch.

Remarkable footage emerged online as the farm friends interrupted a deaf qualifying match at the Olympics between Ukraine and Italy.

The initial pitch invasion came in the 41st minute, with Ukraine 2-0 in the game played near Poltava in the country’s central region.

Two small dogs, their tails wagging happily in the air, then trotted across the field and made their way to the edge of the penalty area as a man who looked like a trainer chased them.

Have you ever seen a game where something unusual happened? Let us know in the comments section.

The dynamic duo, who showed more movement than some of Arsenal’s midfielders, then accelerated towards the goal, stopped to admire themselves in the six-yard box and, ultimately, were rushed off the field.

Incredibly, this was not the end of animal interference.

In the 59th minute of the game, a gray and white horse (yes, really) pushed its way through a gate and trotted across the pitch near the center line.

The gorgeous gray quickly glanced at the canoe, obviously didn’t like what he saw, and was guided to an exit to the side of the pitch.

Viewers captured the incredible moments with their fans, leading to clips on social media that racked up thousands of views.

“When the horse came out, I just lost it,” one viewer remarked, while another responded with a gif that read, “That’s next level shit.”
