Bayern Munich wanted to send Michael Cuisance to Russia
Michael Cuisance left Bayern Munich for Venezia FC earlier in the week but the Serie A side have not offered the Frenchman the best financial package.
Not by far.
Christian Falk of Sport Bild detailed the story on his Bayern Insider podcast (as captured by the Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). Falk indicated that CSKA Moscow actually offered Bayern Munich € 10million for Cuisance, but the Frenchman opted to move to Italy instead.
That figure, of course, is more than double the € 4.5million Bayern Munich received from Venezia FC for the volatile Frenchman. This would seem to contradict some of the earlier statements of CSKA Moscow scout leader Andrei Movsesian:
“We have a shortlist and there are negotiations. Food ? We do not comment on rumors. I read that CSKA would have offered 10 million for him, ”Movsesian told Match TV. “But if you ask me, that’s too much for a player who hasn’t played 60 minutes this season.”
In the transfer game, however, there is often not much of a difference between the truth and the lies. While Movsesian could have publicly stated that they were lowering bidding expectations, CSKA Moscow could in fact have had € 10m as a “must not be exceeded” figure.
Either way, Cuisance is gone and we’ll never know if CSKA Moscow would have actually hit 10million euros. Cuisance wanted to go to Italy and we left for “The Boot”.
